I'm so obsessed with this card!

I’m so obsessed with this card!

It all started when my bestie called upset because she has to move from Florida to upstate New York. Brrrrrr…. She’s quite bummed and so am I.  I was out shopping already so I bopped into Paper Source to pick up a card for her. I saw this Bear Hug Card for almost $7 and loved the concept! I say “HUGS” all the time.

My inspiration!! I saw this Bear Hug letterpress card and loved the idea! I knew it was time to head home to my Cricut!

While I loved the concept, I didn’t really like this card and I thought that for $7 it was way too much for this gal! So, I went home to my trusty Cricut Explore determined to do better. And I love the result.

How I Made the Bear Hug Card

First, I set out to find an image. I knew I wanted it to “hug” so the arms had to fold. Nothing came up in the Cricut Design Studio that would work. Boo. So, I went to my favorite vector site, and started searching. I found an image that would work and edited to fit my needs. It was easier to create y’all a video so here it is.

After cutting my adorable bear with my Cricut Explore, I embossed and stamped and inked. Then, I cut the arms off the back with scissors and glued! I added a picture of the back for you so you can see how the card works.

I attached the back of the card at the top. This picture shows that clearly.

I love how it stands on its own!

I had so much fun embossing and inking this little guy!

Does this cute Bear Hug Card make you all warm and fuzzy inside?!?!?!

We love to hear from you! How do you make your own cards?
